Apple is trying to bring out a new system of battery for the future products which will enable the batteries serviceable by the user itself.Apple has given applications for three patents for the construction of the new battery system which is greener than ever.

One of the patents include the structure of the so called 'host machine' which contains the battery charging slots for the entire system.The second application describes how to communicate with other devices by the host machine so that the host machine can monitor the battery conditions and the charge levels using wireless communication.The last one describes about the 'intelligent universal rechargeable batteries'.The batteries comes with pop off end caps so that when the chemicals inside it reaches a level that it can't be recharged in an efficient way, it can be swapped out of it and replace by fresh chemicals.

The new host machine is capable of charging all types of apple batteries whether it is for mobile phone ,mp3 players ipods,Macbooks,desktops,mouse,keyboards,PDAs or any other mobile devices.The new technology describes a magnetic field produced by either the host machineor the mobile device can flip an internal switch within a battery so that the battery provides power only to a matching device.

Another important company which comes into role here is Z-Power, which has developed a battery technology that it hopes will replace the lithium-ion batteries that power today's laptops and cell phones. Its silver-zinc batteries will show up in laptops from a ''major'' manufacturer in the summer, according to the Camarillo, Calif., company's chief executive, Ross Dueber.

Green peace's assessment of about 50 electronics products found Lenovo Group Ltd's L2440x wide computer monitor, Sharp Corp's LC-52GX5TV, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd 's F268 mobile phone, Nokia's 6210 smartphone and Toshiba Machine Co Ltd's Portege R600 laptop were the greenest in their categories.

Advanced catalytic converter technology, a NOx catalyst that temporarily stores NOx emissions and then burns them off , and a diesel particulate filter allow the Jetta TDI to meet the most stringent Tier 2 – Bin 5 emissions standard. The 2.0 liter can operate on B5 biodiesel without complaint.

The car comes out with a reasonable price of $21,990, which can be considered a good choice for a new car.Obviously it got good resale value.The Jetta comes with the TDI engine which costs around $1,300 .
