Volkswagen's Jetta TDI-the green car of the year

Volkswagen's Jetta TDI is considered to be the new green car of the year 2009.It got all new facilities and the green features that one car could ever get at this point of time.

The 2009 Volkswagen Jetta TDI is the latest evolution of VW’s 30-plus years of diesel investment in the North American automotive market. This car is clean enough to meet the most stringent and hard current emissions standards, allowing sale in all 50 U.S. states, including those adopting California clean air standards. And modern clean diesel engines are easy to operate and live with, quiet, and smooth and are mostly adorable.

Fuel economy will be the primary motivation or key feature one looking into when buying a Jetta TDI. EPA estimates are 30 mpg city and 41 mpg highway with the manual transmission. Independent third party testing by AMCI found real world economy to be 24 percent higher, delivering 38 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway.

The 2.0 liter TDI produces 140 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and more importantly, 236 lbs-ft of torque that’s available from just 1,750 rpm.
With the five-speed manual, the Jetta posts a 0-60 mph time of 8.2 seconds. The six-speed DSG automatic transmission with Tipronic and Sport mode will hit 60 mph in 8.5 seconds.

Jetta TDI is able to meet 50 states emissions without the added complexity of AdBlue urea injection in the exhaust system to neutralize NOx emissions. Advanced catalytic converter technology, a NOx catalyst that temporarily stores NOx emissions and then burns them off , and a diesel particulate filter allow the Jetta TDI to meet the most stringent Tier 2 – Bin 5 emissions standard. The 2.0 liter can operate on B5 biodiesel without complaint.

The car comes out with a reasonable price of $21,990, which can be considered a good choice for a new car.Obviously it got good resale value. The Jetta comes with the TDI engine which costs around $1,300 .

Lelo Elise Vibrator-sex be in green way

Welcome to the world of new great sex. Some of you will be just buy some sex toys or vibrators just by looking their price tags whether they are cheap or not.But no one is interested in the quality or the dangers of using any vibrators. Here we introduce to you one of the best vibrators in the market.Let it be in the green way now.

The Swedish-designed Elise vibrator is ergonomically designed to suit the natural curves of your body, meaning it hits all your hot spots -- clitoral, G-spot or full-body. The top is made from medical-grade silicone and the handle from double-coated rigid PC-ABS, a blend of plastics, which means that this toy is toxin-free.It is completely green. The stem is endowed with two individually powered pleasure points, and it has five programmed stimulation modes based on the lengthwise interaction between base and crown pleasure points. You can choose the vibe setting to match your mood, either taking it slow and focusing on your G-spot, or quickening the tempo and vibe strength for full-body sensations. The Elise is controlled by an interface dial that changes the vibe pattern or strength of vibration.

This device need not have any batteries as these are rechargeable. That is no more waste batteries exposed in the earth surface.Once charged you can go continuously for 4 hours of fun.Its amazing to deal with it especially with the new design. The materials used by the vibrator is completely recyclable, another green point.

Only disadvantage is that its not water proof. You should carefully use the stuff and make sure that you use water based lubricant with it.The second is that it is little expensive than other competitors in the market. But it shows its quality for the price. It costs around 89 pounds. But no one will get any better vibrator that too green in that price .

Ford Focus ECOnetic 1.6 TDCi Duratorq Diesel

Ford Focus ECOnetic 1.6 TDCi Duratorq Diesel can be considered as the no.1 green car of this year. This is not entirely a green car as it suggests. But it gives us a trend into the green convergence from the makers like Ford.

The Focus is the first model in the diesel ECOnetic range, the name Ford has given to its new range of low CO2 models that will be rolled out to the Mondeo later this year and the Fiesta in 2009.The Focus has CO2 emissions of only 115g/km (65.6mpg on a combined test) and, with a diesel particulate filter fitted as standard on the 110PS engine, a WGC? rating of only 33.The engineering behind ECOnetic includes a recalibrated engine management system, and an improved aero-profile (the car is almost 1 cm closer to the ground compared with a regular Focus). Together with a lower grille and new front bumper skirt, a rear spoiler and slimmer low rolling resistance tyres, the aerodynamic drag coefficient is reduced to 0.31.In conjunction with EcoBoost that combines petrol direct injection and turbo-charging technology to improve vehicle fuel economy, the ECOnetic range is part of Ford's response to growing demand for more fuel efficient models.Interestingly the emissions improvements are achieved without fitting longer gear ratios (as adopted by the VW BlueMotion and BMW EfficientDynamics models). The results of these changes for the Focus ECOnetic 109PS is CO2 emissions of only 115g/km (65.6mpg on a combined test cycle) and a WGC? rating lower than the bench-mark Prius hybrid.

Priced from £16,545 (about £250 above the Style model with the same engine).Although it's worse for local air pollution, it actually beats the Prius for real-world miles per gallon. Meanwhile, the driving experience is smooth and the interior is quality.Let us hope more from all the car makers in a better wawy to help something about our environment and the nature.
