Dell Studio Hybrid gives the new green effect

Dell introduces its greenest product ever with the release of the studio hybrid desktops.As the ads suggest it comes with the coolest and best green features suitable for the current scenario of global eco danger and the economic crisis with the financial meltdown.


The main feature of the studio hybrid is its small size which is about 80% less size than the ordinary ones.It got its unique style and finish with the natural coverings like that of with bamboo.One of the important green feature of the desktop is that the power consumption is about 70% lower than that of his contemporaries.It meets the Energy Star 4.0 standards with an 87% efficient power supply.The hybrid desktop packaging is made up of the 95 % recyclable materials which are neither harmful to living species or environmental matters.

Apple's new green battery system

Apple is trying to bring out a new system of battery for the future products which will enable the batteries serviceable by the user itself.Apple has given applications for three patents for the construction of the new battery system which is greener than ever.


One of the patents include the structure of the so called 'host machine' which contains the battery charging slots for the entire system.The second application describes how to communicate with other devices by the host machine so that the host machine can monitor the battery conditions and the charge levels using wireless communication.The last one describes about the 'intelligent universal rechargeable batteries'.The batteries comes with pop off end caps so that when the chemicals inside it reaches a level that it can't be recharged in an efficient way, it can be swapped out of it and replace by fresh chemicals.


The new host machine is capable of charging all types of apple batteries whether it is for mobile phone ,mp3 players ipods,Macbooks,desktops,mouse,keyboards,PDAs or any other mobile devices.The new technology describes a magnetic field produced by either the host machineor the mobile device can flip an internal switch within a battery so that the battery provides power only to a matching device.



Apple thinks about the inductive charging which avoids the metal to metal contact over charging.It also provides new secondary power sources to take over the control when the battery is used up or removed from the device.

X-Rider eletric ride

X-treme green Products Inc. introduces the new eco green electric motorcycle called the X-Rider.It is assumed to be one of the best electric ride around.This machine can travel up to 95 miles for a single charge.It can speed up to 65 miles per hour.This is efficient but powerful engine drived vehicle.It got a 4000 watt - 72 volt proprietary hub motor which can carry a load of about 330 pounds.

The company has sold such a model in Japan since 2006, but is now considering taking it to the North American market

Another important company which comes into role here is Z-Power, which has developed a battery technology that it hopes will replace the lithium-ion batteries that power today's laptops and cell phones. Its silver-zinc batteries will show up in laptops from a ''major'' manufacturer in the summer, according to the Camarillo, Calif., company's chief executive, Ross Dueber.

Green peace's assessment of about 50 electronics products found Lenovo Group Ltd's L2440x wide computer monitor, Sharp Corp's LC-52GX5TV, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd 's F268 mobile phone, Nokia's 6210 smartphone and Toshiba Machine Co Ltd's Portege R600 laptop were the greenest in their categories.


Samsung Electronics introduced a flat- screen TV that uses 40 percent less energy because it uses light-emitting diode technology rather than the traditional cathode lamps. LG Electronics Inc devoted part of its CES display to showcasing green products, including a Bluetooth solar car kit and recyclable packaging materials.Toshiba showcased an ion battery designed for bicycle maker Schwinn's electronic bike, which gives up to 30 miles on a single charge.

This year, manufacturers are also touting the energy efficiency of their products to draw consumers who are spending fewer dollars on discretionary products due to the recession.Anyway the gadgets are going to be more greener this year.Even the show itself is changed to green the show this year as changes include working with CarbonFund.org to offset the emissions created by the show, including exhibition space, shuttle buses and 600,000 hotel rooms. 75% of the food containers and utensils used at the Las Vegas Convention Center will be fully biodegradable, attendee literature will be printed on recycled paper, and the number of recycling containers on the floor will be increased.

During the summer, the systems pump indoor heat to underground and draw on the lower temperatures of the Earth to cool a building. In colder months, the same process works in reverse order where the heat from the ground being used to warm indoor air in the building.

Indoors are box-shaped heat pumps that pull and and push either water or a working fluid, such as antifreeze, in and out of the ground. Using the same compressor loop mechanism that a refrigerator has, a heat exchanger draws energy from the circulating liquid to either heat or cool a building.

In actual calculations geothermal system uses only 25 to 50 % less electricity than the conventional way of air conditioning.Also the amintenance cost of the system is nearly half of that of conventional method.Under the recently passed federal there is renewable soourdes of energy incentives of $2000 per year credit.The only disadvantage of the geothermal system is that its initial capital is little expensive that it comes about the double charge as that of the conventional heating and cooling.
